First off, huge apologies. Unexpectedly I have lots of personal stuff to handle.
So I wasn't able to keep up with the single short per day. And that's not okay, I know.
All is is not lost though. I've taken my much-needed brief three-day hiatus to focus on other things and I am now back on track.
So so expect the final string of shorts coming over the next few days, and the October 12th event will continue as usual.
orry about that.
Blue Eyes
Her eyes are blue. Or is it?
It's hard to discern, and it changes every time.
What he sees isn't what she sees.
He thought he's going insane.
ust another story featuring a bit more nuance in the features. Like, extremely nuanced.
Read Blue Moon here.
In the Middle of Nevada
There are so much to celebrate.
Kayla always had the privilege to be in the middle of it all.
Fireworks go off, cards turn, people cheer.
In this tale, we're following her and her friends through The Strip in Las Vegas to experience it with her.
Yes, that is a good hand.
Read Light Avenue here.
Too Reckless
We've come full circle and are now returning to Kayla's original trait.
She's rich as hell.
In this piece, appropriately entitled "Private Jet", you'll get a slice of that wealth. Not literally, of course.
These five stories will follow the same theme, and might be interconnected. So stay tuned.
Still, Kayla is rich as all hell.

Anticipating The End
I'm talking about the month of November, specifically.
Project Blue will most be out of its initial stage and it will be high time for me to draft letters to publishers hoping to net my second novel off of the ground.
Better start collecting emails now.
And maybe another set of art if I decide to approach the illustrator again at the end of November.
Also, happy birthday, cousin, happy birthday.
Lonely Satellite
This one is a bit melancholic.
Yes, of course, the wordplay is slightly more heavy-handed, but this is another "slow down" story.
You know, therapeutic to me and stuff. And yes, it's my first go spelling the word "therapeutic". I'm so proud of it, I just did it again. Because I'm good at spelling.
Anyway, stories could have have small beginnings and small endings.
Here's a prime example.

Teaser Time
Today is the day, so allow me to commence.
I have three things that I can tell you about Project Blue.
1 There's pure emotions.
2 Something is completely opposite from Fool Me Twice.
3 Chaos. Just chaos.
Just three. If you want more of this, a few weeks.
PS I have zero idea why is the font turning out like this. Absolutely horrifying. Well, not really, just to be in theme for Halloween, but it's frightening... to say the least. I'll get it fixed, somehow.
Well-deserved Break
Finally, we have our first Luna Fanatic title. Sorry it took this long to be completed, I'm tied up.
Anyway, this story is about a butler who takes her one day-in-a-month break.
Go on the bike with her to see where will she go and what will she do.
Also, it's kinda fun to snoop on someone.
Insert universe-expanding jargon here.

Tick-tock
The clock is ticking.
There will be four different reveal dates for the second novel, all through different stages of progression.
October 31 - First Peek
Not too much information, a lot of stuff will still be under wraps. But here's a first peek.
November 30 - More Into It
Leaking it out more slightly.
Holiday Season - Cat Out of the Bag
Everything you need to know about it, and need not to know.
2017 - Pre-launch
There.
In six days there will be the smallest of updates to the n02 page. Remember, n02 isn't the title of the book, but it will be revealed. A tentative one. So you have something to call it.
Ah, I have to go find a publisher now.
Keep your eye on this.
PS I know the new season of Black Mirror is out, I'll go binge all six at once when I do have the time. XD
Roadmap for November
As promised, here it is.
November 6-10 - One Short Per Day
November 13 - Something Yellow and Circular
November 18 - n02 Second Tease
November 25 - December Roadmap (Maybe)
Since n02 is still being worked on, this November calendar will be a whole lot simpler.
I started to realize a bunch of ways I could to actually streamline my work. As in, how to do the most amount of things in the shortest period of time.
Same thing, two Luna stories in November. I do know that none had been here so far, but once I push a certain point, they will come, I promise.
One Short Per Day is so gratifying for me and amazing for you, I've decided to do it again. I cut Radical Rat out until I can find better material, but I love shorts. So there will be more of them.
Something Yellow and Circular is an upcoming event I have planned for the 13th. I'm not sure 100% exactly what I'll be talking about, but I have most of the framework. It's a rather odd endeavor for those familiar with Optic right now. I'll talk more into this later.
I think this is the nominal end for the October calendar. Makes me a little sad, really. But hey, if you enjoy these months, I'll be happy to deliver.
Jumping Back Into It
Ah. A nice vacation I just had. If you're wondering where have I been for the past six days.
Okay, I was being slightly dishonest here. I merely had some time off because a lot of stuff screwed with my sleep schedule and I need to reboot again.
I feel so much better now. There's a chance Friday will be off for me, so, uh, great.
Anyway, tomorrow will be the reveal of the November schedule. In fact, I'm still writing it today.
But you will see it tomorrow. Since every subject is out to get me with their plethora of quizzes and tests, I am preoccupied too. I didn't fret, but I'm slightly worried now.
Gotta go to sleep soon, I think.
Renaming It to Series 2
It's October 13, and the next thing in our October calendar is Series 2. Because "Season 2" should like some subtitle on some garbage SoCal sitcom.
I promised a discussion, and nothing else. You will get said discussion.
In all seriousness, Series 2 builds on the familiar and creates new things with the current things.
There's already parts of Series 2 you can see on yellowoptic.com. It's not hard to look for it.
So there's a new Series 2 page you can go see a preview of. Series 2 is a gradual rollout of things that I believe you're going to enjoy.
Catch a glimpse of Series 2 here.
Place of Wonder
That's the final story.
This is not quite a spinoff, but an original story.
After you perform to protocol, and touch down as planned, it's done.
There is nothing left to pursue.
We discover that today. Thanks for sticking through four straight days of short stories. I might do another one of these again, but, for now, this is good enough.
Go read Territory here.
Red As Her Shirt
We're now three-quarters through the four-day festival, and this one is a little bit more abstract.
If you've always wanted something more feminine, there you go.
This is a story that you should not take at face value. If you do, you'll be lost.
This is a bit of an experiment for me as well, and again, the universe-expanding rhetoric that I'm slightly weary of, horizontally widening the characters a bit.
Seriously, that dress is stunning.
Go read Red Dress here.
Going North
We've arrived at day two. Oh brilliant.
Today is all about Luna, and about her family as well.
We'll be taking a bit of a quick look at them, and how they react when she comes home from a long time coming.
And also the way they treat a friend who happened to be tagging along.
This is going to be fun.
Go read Upstate Visit here.
Hot Bread with Cheese and Tomato
Today marks the release of the first of four "One Short Per Day" short stories.
This first short story release focuses on pizza. No, really, actual pizza.
Kayla ordering pizza. This is some really amazing story with intricate plotlines.
I'm being sarcastic, of course.
Again, with the universe expansions, this one is more about the nuances of the characters themselves. I do hope you find enjoyment out of it.
Go read Pizza Party here.
Bite-Size Kayla
This month we'll see two new series of shorts.
And it features either one or both of the girls in Fool Me Twice. Kayla or Luna.
A few previously-unreleased shorts will be shown off starting tomorrow.
And deeper universe start tomorrow for Yellow Optic. The Excavator is in full swing and I'm excited.
tay tuned for tomorrow.
Radical Rat Number Two
Ahh. Sometimes, in my downtime, I love to poke fun at politicians, dumb people, or those that are situated in the middle of this Venn diagram.
This series (if you can call it that with only two stories) are, to put it simply, satire of the second category.
My lawyer has told me not to mention this resident of the Western states, but one thing I'm allowed to say, however, is that this guy is an absolute tool.
Like one reviewer noted, he had a golden goose from being randomly discovered and he chucked it down the bin. He can't see the causal-effect relationship and failed to embrace it. So there.
Sigh. I know this log post is a departure from previous ones, it's just a bit of a vent because this is a derivative.
Yet since I have created the actual characters themselves, I can somehow claim it as my own?
The rage seeps through this chapter of the garbage-hill saga.
ead the second installment here.
Sick Leave Application
Oh boy, right on the day before my birthday, I got a nasty cold.
This one is the longest one yet in recent memory, usually they clear up within two or three days, but this one started last Sunday and is still chugging along like a freight train on expedit.
I'll try to get well soon, because tomorrow is my birthday (of course), but also to deliver on my own promises.
I will stick to the schedule, and if, in the event that I'm still as sick as a canine who's just discovered dark chocolate, I will let you know and try to deliver ASAP.
Thanks for the wishes from the people I know in real life, though, it's appreciated. This frustrates me as much as it will be to you, for there's a bunch of projects that are now sidelined for my health.
*fever patient whimper*
Miscellaneous Updates
Today's post does not revolve around a single theme. Because, you know, not everything has to be a post on its own.
I expect to post around 2-3 Luna Fanatic pieces by the end of October.
I do have plans to expand the pages within the Characters heading. Give me some time.
'm looking to see if we can unify pages with a themed look. And maybe a dark mode.
And on October 1, which is my birthday, I will go radio silent. I don't think I will do anything on that day, I just need a rest.
So here you go. Updates for everything.
